Kellogg’s The Big Bake Promotion
Competition Terms and Conditions
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Online and postal entry routes are open to UK, CI, IoM and RoI residents. Text entry route is open to UK residents only. Persons submitting the entry must be 16 or over, or have parental permission to enter. The competition excludes employees (and their families) of Kellogg’s, its agencies or any other company or person professionally connected with the promotion.
- Acceptance of these terms and conditions and of the Kellogg’s privacy policy is a condition of entry. Make note of their content for future reference.
- Closing date for receipt of all entries is 11.01.09.
- To enter, take a photo of a baking session involving your family using Kellogg’s cereals. Photographs must include at least one child under the age of 14 years baking using Kellogg’s cereals. Photos must be no more than 5MB in size. Video footage will not be accepted. To enter online, log on to www.thebigbake.co.uk or www.thebigbake.ie. Upload your photo and register your details following the instructions given. The following file formats are acceptable: bitmap, gif, jpeg/jpg, png. To enter via text (UK residents only), text your submission to 53373. All text messages sent by you will be charged at your standard operator rate for MMS messages. All text messages received by you are free. To enter via post, send your photo along with your name, address, telephone number, date of birth and email address on a plain piece of paper to ‘The Big Bake’, PO Box 356, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 6XY (UK, CM, IoM) or PO Box 1156, Crumlin, Dublin 12 (ROI). The maximum size photograph that can be received is 7"x5". Photographs cannot be returned.
- Online and text entrants will receive notification within 48 hours of whether their submission meets entry requirements and has been approved for entry into the competition.
- A maximum of 3 entries are allowed per consumer, per mobile number, email address or postal address. If duplicate text entries are received you will still be charged but additional entries will not be entered in to the competition.
- Each family who enters the competition agrees they are willing to appear in a TV ad for Kellogg’s, to be filmed at their home and aired on Mothers day, 22nd March 2009. They also agree to sign a release document that will allow Kellogg’s unlimited usage of the ad and associated images in the UK, CI, IoM and RoI within five years of the close of the promotion.
- Up to three families will be selected as winners. The winners will be the families who, in the opinion of the judges, most closely epitomise a happy family enjoying baking together and would, in the opinion of the brand and its advertising agency, be most appropriate to feature in an advertisement.
- The winning families will be selected and notified via telephone or email by 18.01.09. The TV ad filming will take place either in the home of the winning family or in a location chosen at the discretion of the promoter during February 2009. Each winning family must be available for filming during February as part of the conditions of entry. Kellogg’s will fund any travel expenses incurred. The exact date of filming will be confirmed at least 2 weeks prior to the shoot date. The way in which the footage is filmed, and the people involved will be at the sole discretion of the promoter and its advertising agency.
- Entries received after the closing date of 11.01.09 but by midnight on 22.09.09 will be separately judged and an additional winning family will be selected and notified within two weeks of the latter date. The winning photograph will be featured in the local press title of the winning family.
- The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Submissions that do not include all required information and adhere to the competition requirements, or are, in the opinion of the judges, indecent or illegible, will be considered void and will not be judged.
- Text entrants will receive a unique reference number and a link via which they can post their image for public viewing on The Big Bake Gallery online, if they wish to do so.
- Standard network charges will apply to any entrant attempting to access the website via their mobile phone.
- Persons entering via text or online will be given the option to have their image publicly shown online in The Big Bake Gallery. It is not compulsory to publicly show your image and it will not affect your chances of winning if you choose not to. Text entrants can access their image access via the website using the unique reference provided in the notification message.
- Once you have entered your submission it cannot be returned. The promoter may, in their sole discretion, remove, delete or disqualify submissions deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant with the competition terms and conditions.
- Kellogg’s will not accept responsibility for any entries lost, delayed or corrupted in transmission or in the post. Proof of sending / posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
- The form the TV advertisement will take, as well as its length, script and transmission date and time is all at the sole discretion of the brand and advertising agency and may be subject to change. The advertisement in which winners will appear and the Channel/s and the time/s it will be aired will be entirely the Promoter's decision.
- No cash or other alternative prize is available. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equivalent or higher value if the original prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances outside their control.
- The promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the winning families (by telephone and email) but in the event of failure to do so within 1 week of the closing date it reserves the right at its absolute discretion to award the prize to a substitute winning family judged at the same time and the original winner will forfeit any rights to a prize.
- The names and counties of the winning families will be shown on www.kelloggs.co.uk/winners and www.kelloggs.ie/winners after 31.01.09 for a minimum of 3 months.
