Make a splash and stay fit with Kellogg's free swim vouchers

Our Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced challenges are designed so everyone can
have a go, no matter what their age or how confident they are in the water.

They’re a fantastic way of improving your swimming skills and extending your abilities.
If you don’t succeed at first, you can try again as often as you like - no one’s counting!

The challenge pack is a PDF document which contains a Free Swim Challenge
progress chart to keep track of everyone's accomplishments and certificates which
can be personalised for each participant. You need to be registered with us to
get yours.

You can do the challenge on your own but it’s usually more fun with family or
friends! In any case if you are new to the water, or not that confident, make
sure you have a good adult swimmer with you – they can show you what
to do and help you!!

Beginner Challenge

  1. Get in and out of the pool safely using the step ladder.
  2. Spell a word on the surface of the water using your nose. The others must guess
the word (Tip: hold your breath while you do this!)
  3. Throw and catch a soft ball or anything else small.
  4. Lie flat, face up, on the surface of the water for 10 seconds using
your hands to keep you afloat (An adult can help with this!)
  5. Swim 2m between two people anyway you can (This can be done using arm-bands).

Intermediate Challenge

  1. Count to 10 with your face under the water (If it helps you can pinch your nose!)
  2. Swim through another person’s legs.
  3. Tread water for 10 seconds.
  4. Swim one length of the pool using any stroke of your choice.
  5. Push and Glide – from the side of the pool, push yourself into the pool on the
surface of the water and glide to another person. Try and make your self like an arrow
and make as few splashes as possible!

Advanced Challenge

  1. Throw and catch a ball or something else small, whilst treading water.
  2. Swim through two peoples legs.
  3. Swim two lengths of the pool using two different strokes.
  4. Float on your back for 15 seconds with one leg in the air.
  5. Push and Glide, as Intermediate challenge 5, but turn over and end up with
    your face facing upwards.
