Fibre has long been heralded for it's beneficial effects for digestive health but it also now know for playing an important role in heart health, satiety and weight management. However, despite this, 80% of adults are still not achieving their recommended fibre intake (GDA 25g/day).
To encourage the public to be fibre fans, a group of independent experts (including doctors, academics and dietitians) has come together to form The Fibre Foundation, which this month has launched the F-Word Report - a bible of all things fibre-related.
