Kirsti Hatswell – HR
HR Advisor
I joined the Personnel Team at Kellogg’s in 1985 as a Clerk/Typist. I’ve made the most of the many opportunities available, working my way up to my current role. I’ve spent 22 years here and I’ve come to understand most of the responsibilities of the positions that I recruit for. It’s excellent that I’m based on-site as people can talk to me face-to-face whenever they need to recruit or talk about an HR matter.
Although my main focus is recruitment, I’ve gained wide-ranging HR experience. I’m currently a super user and the systems administrator for our HR systems, also providing training and advice to people when required. I’ve enjoyed plenty of variety at Kellogg’s and have been given the opportunity to learn many aspects of HR and beyond including recruitment, systems and payroll.
I enjoy my role and the mutual respect that people on the site have for each other, whatever their role. I get a lot of job satisfaction from my role and consistently try to provide a high level of service.
If you’re a hard worker you’ll get a lot back here. The types of benefits available range from flexitime, free parking and a 53rd extra week pay to company share, private medical and childcare voucher schemes. Although people regularly move on within Kellogg’s people tend to stay. Many people like myself have been here for 20-25 years. And that speaks volumes. I really enjoy working with people across all positions and the working environment also contributes to it being a great place to work.
